Daniel J. Thomas

Daniel J. Thomas  

Chief Executive Officer,
Viant, Inc.

Viant, which provides specialized cost management services to the health insurance industry, is a newly formed company, resulting from a spin-off of Concentras former Network Services division.

Dan was named to Concentras Board of Directors in 1998 and named President and Chief Executive Officer later that year. Beginning in 1993, he served in various capacities with OccuSystems, Inc., one of Concentras predecessor companies, including as a Director, as President and Chief Operating Officer, and as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to joining OccuSystems in 1993, Dan served in various capacities with Medical Care International, Inc. most recently as its Senior Vice President and Divisional Director. Dan is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Concentra Inc. Dan received his bachelors degree from the University of Northern Iowa and resides in Frisco, Texas.

Tom Bartlett

Tom joined Viant (Originally Preferred Payment Systems) in 1993 as a member of the executive team and was named president in 1999 shortly after the company's acquisition by Concentra, Inc., in 1998. He was named a Concentra division president in 1999 and led the company's group health industry business development efforts.

In 2000, Tom orchestrated the purchase of Health Network Systems, a leading provider of PPO and HMO network management services. In January 2005, Tom was named President of Focus Healthcare Management, a national workers' compensation PPO, as well as Concentra's Provider Bill Review business unit, both of which were subsequently sold to Coventry Health Care, Inc., in 2007. In late 2005, Tom and his team completed the acquisition of Beech Street Corporation, one of the nation's largest Preferred Provider Organizations. In 2007, the company was renamed Viant, Inc., during its spin-off from Concentra, Inc., and subsequently completed the acquisition of the ppoNext and Texas True Choice PPO networks. Since 2000, Viant has invested approximately $270 million to acquire PPO networks and network management technology designed to promote efficiencies for all participants in the health care transaction.

Prior to joining Viant, Tom was President of Medical Review Systems, Inc., a health care cost management technology company that was acquired by Equifax, Inc.

David Redmond

Executive Vice President, Finance
& Chief Financial Officer

David Redmond joined Viant as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in March 2008. David previously served as a Viant board member and Chairman of Viant’s Audit Committee. He brings with him a wealth of experience in public accounting and financial leadership in both the public and private sectors and the healthcare industry, where he achieved a reputation of excellence that is widely recognized by members of the banking and investment communities.

From June 2003 until March 2008, David was President and Chief Financial Officer of AmeriPath, a provider of anatomic pathology and molecular diagnostics, which was sold to Quest Diagnostics in May 2007. He also served as Chief Financial Officer for two privately held and two publicly held healthcare companies. Before entering the healthcare industry, David, a certified public accountant, was with KPMG Peat Marwick for 16 years, including six years as a partner. David graduated with honors from the University of North Dakota with a B.S. in accounting.

Keith Vangeison

Executive Vice President, Network Development

Keith Vangeison joined Viant, in 2007, with over 34 years of experience in the health insurance and managed care industries. As Executive Vice President of Network Development, Keith has responsibility for all network development, care management and provider credentialing activities nationwide.

Prior to Viant, Keith was Senior Vice President of Network Development, at HealthMarkets where he was responsible for network development, medical economics, care and disease management programs. Executive positions prior to HealthMarkets include Executive Vice President Networks of Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS), President & CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maine as well as Bureau Chief of Benefits for the State of Illinois Department of Central Management Services. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University.

Terry Harris

Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Terry Harris has over 20 years industry experience and is responsible for all sales and marketing strategy and execution for the Viant organization with a heavy focus on aligning Customer Relationship Management with business goals and growth strategies. Prior to joining Viant in 2002, Terry held senior leadership positions at Brann Worldwide and Cigna Healthcare. He earned his B.S. degree in Marketing and Personnel Management from Miami University.

 

 

 

Meridith Herdes

Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Meridith Herdes has more than 20 years of IT and Operations experience within the healthcare industry. She currently acts as Chief Operating Officer for Health Network Systems, where she has responsibility for all operations, implementations and IT that service the nation's leading health plans. Prior to HNS, she was an Assistant Vice President in IT with CIGNA HealthCare. In that role, Meridith handled all system responsibilities relating to provider network management across CIGNA's claim platforms. She was responsible for both provider and claims systems during her tenure with HealthSource and has had held senior IT positions within a major hospital system. Meridith was one of the founders of Health Network Systems which began in May of 1999.

Santosh Dave

Information Technology

Santosh Dave joined Viant as Senior Vice President of Information Technology in April 2008. He is responsible for the leadership and development of Viant's entire information technology division, including both internal (support, systems, engineering, telecom) and external (claims processing, provider data management, rate and fee schedules) functions.

Santosh has a successful track record forging strategic partnerships between IT, internal business and customer organizations to develop and implement practical and effective solutions. He joined Viant from Wells Fargo's Home Mortgage division, where he was responsible for systems, technology and security for more than 3,200 facilities. He's also held IT leadership positions with GE, Sprint, Freightquote and two IT consulting practices in India. Santosh has an engineering background and completed post-graduate management work in India. In addition to several technical and project management certifications, he is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

Bryan Adel

General Counsel

Bryan Adel became General Counsel of Viant in July 2007. His experience includes over three years at McDermott, Will & Emery as a corporate attorney, over ten years at McDonald's Corporation in various legal and business roles including finance, e-commerce, corporate strategy and international. Bryan also served on the Board of Directors of Chipotle Mexican Grill for two years. Most recently, Bryan was the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Rewards Network Inc.
