Program Provides Out-of-Network Cost Containment Solution

Beech Street Corporation, the nation's leading independently owned Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), announced today the launch of a Fee Negotiation program aimed at containing and reducing out-of-network claims costs.

Beech Street's Fee Negotiation program is being offered as a result of a strategic agreement with National Care Network (NCN), a Grapevine, Texas based organization, and grants Beech Street clients access to industry leading out-of-network cost containment services through a jointly developed delivery model.

The program was developed as a direct response to claims payors' escalating focus on the ten to twenty percent of medical claims that fall outside of the traditional PPO network, the lack of PPO price controls on out-of-network provider billing, and patient fallout as a result of out-of-network provider balance billing. Participants can realize savings of up to 25% on their out-of-network claims costs by using Beech Street's Fee Negotiation program.

A designated team of medical, billing and coding professionals further evaluates each claim and contacts providers directly to discuss any detected billing, coding or pricing issues. A signed agreement is secured on each negotiated discount to ensure the insured or claims payor is not balance billed.
