Beech Street Corporation, the nation’s leading independently
owned Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), announced today that
they will extend invitations to physicians in Utah for
participation in the Beech Street network.
In addition to providing the opportunity to become part of a
nationally acclaimed network, Beech Street offers a range of
benefits for physicians that include a dedicated provider relations
staff, timely claims payment, provider friendly contracts, as well
as financial incentives.
“Beech Street is known for the breadth and quality of our
network,” said Bill Hale, President and CEO of Beech Street
Corporation. “We provide both our clients and participating
providers with personalized, exceptional service – something that
not only relates to our values as an organization, but is one of
the many things we’re known for in the marketplace.”
Effective July 1, 2006, IHC is no longer planning to offer its
physician panel to non-IHC companies. This decision is based on
feedback from both IHC physicians and payors requesting greater
flexibility in the network of physicians they are offered to
participate with.
IHC contracted payors will have the option of contracting with
Beech Street to use their nationwide network of physicians, or
developing their own physician panels. Beech Street’s network will
be entirely separate from the network currently offered by IHC.
Beech Street will directly handle all physician selection,
credentialing, fee schedules, network maintenance and terminations.
There will be no change to the IHC hospital network and IHC will
continue to contract directly with payors for their hospitals.
Payors will have the option of continuing to contract with IHC for
their hospital network or working with Beech Street for both
physician and hospital access.
