Advances in medical technology have resulted in improved health for many adults who may now expect to live 20 to 30 years past retirement age. The baby boomers will represent the largest retired population in the United States.
As the aging population increases, the need for long-term care services also increases. Beech Street's Long-Term Care program provides access to an array of support services for people who need assistance to function in their daily lives.
The goal of the program is to provide insured and non-insured patients with access to quality long-term care through a network of qualified providers and facilities, at reasonable cost. It is designed to assist patients and their families by improving the quality of care and reducing out-of-pocket long-term care expenses.
Long-Term Care includes services such as:
- skilled nursing
- assisted living
- care for Alzheimer’s patients
- adult day care
- home health care
- home care custodial services
- hospice care
- durable medical equipment
